Reviewing the Role of EVs in Stem Cell Biology

The ability of cells to communicate with their surroundings by producing different classes of extracellular vesicles (EVs) plays an important role in physiological and pathological processes. Now, researchers led by Richard A. Cerione (Cornell University, Ithaca, NY, USA) highlight what is known about this form of cell communication in the context of stem cell biology in a recent STEM CELLS review article.
