Novel Huntington’s Disease Mouse Model of Neuroinflammation

A new STEM CELLS Translational Medicine article from researchers led by Kyle Fink (University of California, Davis, Sacramento, CA, USA) describes a novel immunodeficient mouse model of Huntington's disease. Dahlenburg et al. report that this model does not reject human cell products and provide details on additional models that possess a human immune system. Overall, the authors hope to employ this model to further delineate the role of the immune system in neurodegenerative diseases.
