iNCC‐MPCs Enhance Cranial Allograft Integration

While autografts and allografts represent common strategies in the treatment of cranial bone loss, both present certain disadvantages. Researchers led by Dmitriy Sheyn (Cedars‐Sinai Medical Center, Los Angeles, CA, USA) sought to address the ongoing demand for improved graft integration into critical‐size cranial defects. In their recent STEM CELLS Translational Medicine article, Glaeser et al. evaluated the capability of induced neural crest cell‐mesenchymal progenitor cells (iNCC‐MPCs) to revitalize decellularized allografts and enhance allograft integration.
