ASCs and Improving Fat Retention in Scleroderma Patients

A recent study from researchers led by Xiaojun Wang (Peking Union Medical College Hospital, Beijing), Robert Chunhua Zhao (Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences and Peking Union Medical College, Beijing), and Xiuqin Zhang (Jimo Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital, Qingdao, China) suggests that autologous fat grafting combined with adipose‐derived stem cells (ASC) represents a safe, feasible, and attractive alternative to conventional fat grafting or fat grafting combined with stromal vascular fraction in the correction of facial atrophy of localized scleroderma patients.
